How To Support The Homestead School

Volunteerism, Service, and Giving are part of the Homestead community’s core values. There are many ways you can support the Homestead School — here are just a few examples.

Donate to the Homestead Fund

The Homestead School is a non-profit community organization that relies on philanthropic support to run our programs. The cost of tuition alone does not cover the cost of educating each student. Annual giving and volunteerism are traditions shared by most independent schools. Generous annual giving from parents, alumni, grandparents, friends, and local businesses is a crucial piece of our annual budget. Donations to our Homestead Fund help to fund enrichments such as professional development, program offerings, upgraded technology, and financial aid.

Contribute to the Circle of Care

Circle of Care is a commitment to giving, tailored to each family’s means and circumstances. This may take the form of an offering of time, talents, or skills in support of the school’s mission and vision or a financial contribution. Together, this Circle of Care ensures the continued growth of our programs, fosters a stronger, more connected school community, and extends opportunities to families who might not otherwise have access to a Homestead education.  Through this shared commitment, we build a thriving, inclusive community dedicated to our collective values and goals.

Circle of Care Principles

The Homestead School’s Circle of Care is a shared commitment to the principles of Earth Care, People Care, and Future Care, guiding how we support one another and nurture our community.  This framework calls us to honor our interdependence, cultivating a space where all can thrive while contributing to a more equitable, sustainable, and connected world. Through collective care, we strive to create a vibrant community that values diversity, fosters belonging, and inspires stewardship for the future.

Earth Care

The Circle of Care reflects our dedication to sustaining and regenerating the web of relationships that support us all. By fostering a culture of reciprocity, we encourage families to contribute what they can—whether financially or through time and talents—to enrich the educational opportunities and ensure that every student has access to a Homestead education. These contributions mirror our commitment to protecting and enriching the environment, creating the robust heterogeneity and health that allows our community to flourish.

People Care

At its heart, the Circle of Care celebrates the diversity within our community and the value of uplifting one another. Acknowledging that not all families have the same financial resources, this initiative ensures that all voices, perspectives, and life experiences are represented and included. By supporting one another, we create an environment of belonging where each student and family feels seen, respected, and empowered to contribute meaningfully to our shared journey.

Future Care

The Circle of Care embodies our shared responsibility to build a thriving, equitable future for all. By making mindful contributions today, we ensure that future generations of Homestead students benefit from an inclusive and enriched educational environment. This collective investment equips students with the empathy, understanding, and collaborative skills they will need to navigate and shape a more compassionate and sustainable world. Together, we honor the promise of the future by fostering a community that reflects the best of humanity’s potential.
