About The Homestead School

The Homestead School is a Montessori School with campuses located in Glen Spey and Hurleyville, NY, offering children ages 2.5 years to 15 years (Pre-K through 9th grade) a unique, life-enriching, humanitarian, and outdoor-oriented educational experience.

Our History

The Homestead School was founded in 1978 by Pete and Marsha Comstock on the family’s 125-year-old homestead. The school recently celebrated its 40th anniversary.

Map & Directions

Our campus is nestled on an 85-acre permaculture homestead in the beautiful and pristine Upper Delaware River Valley of the Catskill Mountains in Upstate New York. We are only 2 hours from New York City, and some of our parents commute to the city every day.
