Zarah Cabañas

Zarah Cabañas is Communications Consultant and CCHS Media Arts Teacher.

Zarah brings over 20 years of expertise working at the crossroads of traditional/experiential media, communications, and education.  At Homestead, she develops and implements internal and external communications strategies for the school.  Zarah is also a Homestead mom to two lovely children.

Prior to joining Homestead School, Zarah was Digital Media Strategist at New York University and Video Director/Designer at Blue Man Group.  Zarah is also Co-Founder of Space Acres, where she and her husband produce projects around video art, music, comedy, botanicals, and nature.  She creates live video art as vj Lady Firefly and works on music with her bands City and Forest, and Pond Wave.

Zarah received her B.F.A. in Film/Television from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, and her Introduction to Secondary Montessori Certificate from CMStep.
