Miguel joined the Homestead team in 2020 as an Assistant in the Early Childhood program. He comes to us from Asheville, NC, where he had been enjoying being a part of a city school’s 2nd grade team. His teaching experience also includes teaching English as a second language in Mexico, Peru, and Cambodia. In his spare time Miguel enjoys reading, playing stringed instruments, and playing with his young daughter. He is an alumnus of the Homestead School and is excited to have returned. Miguel is attending Montessori Early Childhood Training at West Side Montessori this summer to become an AMS certified and MACTE accredited Early Childhood Montessori Educator.
Attending the Homestead as a child was a truly formative piece of my history. Watching young Homesteaders learn and grow in the Montessori environment reinforces my passion for working with children.
