Liz Whitehouse

Liz Whitehouse

Liz Whitehouse is thrilled to return to Homestead in 2022 after having stepped away for a couple years to care for her family. She is a fully certified Montessori guide for ages 6-12 years old and enjoys teaching Spanish in a Montessori-inspired style, incorporating experiential learning opportunities that spark her students’ curiosity to explore language and culture. She has lived in this area for 15 years and is a single mom to teenage twins. Before moving to Northeastern Pennsylvania, Liz worked for American Field Service Intercultural Programs as a consultant to various countries’ AFS program offices and travelled all over the world working with their staff and volunteers.

She graduated from Brown University with a BA in both History and Latin American Studies and holds an MBA from Columbia University. She has travelled extensively throughout Latin America and lived in Chile for two years.
“Exposure to and open minded curiosity about other languages and cultures is an essential component as we assume our roles as responsible citizens of the world. I relish in our students’ moments of discovery as their eyes open to all that lays before them.”
