Kristin Breckenridge
Kristin Breckenridge brings a dynamic and multifaceted perspective to our teaching staff, having previously served as a dedicated substitute teacher for the Homestead School. With a Bachelor’s degree in English from Texas Tech University and a Master’s in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University in the U.K., Kristin is passionate about creating inclusive, innovative learning environments that inspire curiosity and critical thinking. Her previous roles have given her insights into classroom management, curriculum development, and student motivation that extend far beyond traditional teaching approaches. Kristin comes with an eclectic professional background that spans everything from tax law to the publishing industry, but she discovered her true calling in education through substitute teaching. Her diverse experiences have equipped her with exceptional adaptability, strong interpersonal skills, and a unique ability to connect with students from various backgrounds. Originally from Texas, she now lives in Forestburgh and enjoys gardening in her small vegetable patch, knitting hats and mittens to keep warm in the cold New York weather, and trying to control her many indoor plants.
