Destiny Schemitz

Destiny joined the Homestead team in 2020 and her experience that year confirmed her passion for the early childhood program. Destiny is currently attending The University of Massachusetts online, majoring in Early Childhood Education. Her prior teaching experience includes volunteering as a teacher’s assistant at Bethany Children’s House in Wayne County, PA and preparing educational activities for the children she has cared for in the past. Destiny’s favorite hobby is horseback riding. Destiny is attending Montessori Early Childhood Training at West Side Montessori this summer to be come an AMS certified Montessori Early Childhood Educator.

“I have a passion for teaching because I love to see children’s eyes light up when they grasp a new concept, and I get so much joy from being the one to assist them with getting to that point! Every child is unique, and it is extremely exciting to watch them grow and learn!”
