Christine Smetaniuk

Christine has been with the Homestead since 2016 in several positions, and currently is an assistant teacher in the Pre-K classrooms. Christine attended Kent State University and the Cooper School of Art, where she studied marketing, merchandising, and graphic design.

Christine worked in the NYC garment district, working her way up from an artist, to sales rep, to vice president. She also owns her own design company and is assistant director of the Lumberland Summer Youth program

I love teaching because I love children. There is nothing more inspiring than to see a child’s face who has mastered a new skill or conquered a challenge. Every day is a new beginning. I am committed to helping children learn new experiences which is a crucial factor in a child’s development. Also, to have fun, explore, be creative and learn more about themselves.
