Chad McFadden

Chad McFadden

Chad McFadden is a School Counselor at the Collaborative College High School (CCHS) who joined Homestead school June of 2023. Chad has served as a school counselor for  3 years prior to joining Homestead and has 9 years of counseling experience. Before becoming a school counselor, Chad was a Supervising Behavior Specialist for agencies under the Office Of People With Developmental Disabilities. Chad’s main goal at CCHS is to help students find success by identifying and overcoming their academic, social and/or behavioral needs.

Chad was born and raised in South Carolina where he developed a love for family, nature and finding joy through the simple things in life. He enjoys hiking with his camera and taking nature shots, practicing mindfulness, sports, traveling, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

Chad received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at South Carolina State University.  After moving to New York he studied and received his Master’s degree in Education with an emphasis in school counseling from Long Island University.  Chad was inspired to pursue a career in counseling by his track coach who wore many hats at his high and inspired young people to always be prepared for whatever the next step is. Being a recipient of that support encouraged Chad to pay good will forward and become that person that he needed at a young age.

While Chad will spend most of his time at CCHS, he will offer his expertise and be available on the the Glen Spey Campus one day a week.
