Celeste Herrera

Celeste Herrera, is a passionate educator, musician, archer, and advocate for cultural preservation. Born and raised in the vibrant city of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico, Celeste’s journey in education began with a profound love for learning and connection. She earned her Master’s degree in Education from UTEL University in Mexico, and since then, she has been dedicated to sharing the beauty of language, culture, and tradition with her students.

For nearly a decade, Celeste has been teaching Spanish to students of all ages-from children to elders-from all around the world. Her teaching goes beyond language; she weaves music, storytelling, and cultural traditions into her lessons, creating a deeply engaging and transformative learning experience.

Beyond the classroom, Celeste is an accomplished pianist and musician, infusing her artistry into everything she does. She is also an archer, finding joy and balance in the art of archery. Additionally, she serves as the Vice Director of a non-profit organization committed to empowering indigenous tribes in both Mexico and the United States. Through her work, she supports land preservation efforts and ensures access to education for children globally, providing opportunities for a brighter future. With her daughter, Serenity, Celeste embraces the importance of global exploration and understanding.

Celeste brings her heart, her music, and her dedication to her role as a Montessori educator to the Homestead School. Guided by a deep respect for children’s natural curiosity and creativity, she strives to create a nurturing space where students can flourish-not just academically, but as compassionate and empowered human beings.
