Mother’s Day Plant Sale
This Mother’s Day, the Homestead Family Association sponsored the first-ever Spring Seedling Sale Fundraiser, which raised a grand total of $3500 to benefit Homestead’s Annual Fund!
Homestead parents Jen Bischoff and Jenn Maxwell organized Homestead teachers, students and families to plant and raise hundreds of seedlings to sell! Students also helped decorate planting pots and plant markers. The main sale took place on at the Mother’s Day soft-opening of Sullivan Public, a new arts and events space in Eldred from Homestead parent Jessie Lazar. Remaining seedlings were sold at the Glen Spey and CCHS campuses this past Thursday and Friday.
Huge thanks to Jen B. and Jenn M. for organizing this massive effort, in addition to those who grew and contributed support, including Jen Gebhardt, Jessica Lewis (Mama Garden Co), Natascha Demner, Tina Embriano, Rob Bischoff, Michael Maxwell and local business Dirt Diva; as well as Ms. Adrienne and all of the students and teachers who participated!Special thanks to Sullivan Public for hosting.
