Lori Zambarano

Lori is Head of Admissions, Faculty and Student Affairs, as well as the Assistant Director of the Homestead School. She has been with the Homestead School since 1999.

Lori received a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from the Villanova University in 1987 and had an early career in the field of accounting. During that time, she enrolled her two young children at the Homestead. She fell in love with the school and Montessori teaching, so she followed her instinct and took a chance to see if teaching would be a better fit for her professionally. She knew from day one that it was the right choice.

Her love for the young child inspired her to thus change career paths and “follow the child.” In 2000, Lori became Montessori Certified for Early Childhood at CMTE/NY and taught for 17 years. In 2016, she received her Master’s Degree in Education (Pre-K through 4th Grade) from Marywood University.

Teaching offered her an outlet for her creativity, a connection to the mystery and wonders of the natural world as seen through the eyes of the child, and, most importantly, a chance to make a difference in the world. As an administrator, Lori now has the chance to combine her business background with her experience in education as a part of her role on the administrative team.
