Kathy Brink

Kathy is the music teacher at the Homestead School since 2019. She earned her Bachelor of Music in music education from Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, PA and her Master of Music in music education from Ithaca College.

A former public school music teacher for over 11 years, Kathy taught band, chorus, and general music at the junior high/middle school level. She studied organ with Susan Hegburg at Susquehanna University and H. William Greene at Ithaca College as well as Mark Laubach of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Wilkes-Barre.

For the past 24 years, she has been Director of Music at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Port Jervis, NY where she serves as organist and director of musical groups which have included a children’s choir, adult choir, and Joyful Noise, a multicultural drumming and xylophone ensemble. She also has served as guest conductor for several children’s choir workshops and festivals.

She has sung with the Arcadia Chorale (formerly Robert Dale Chorale) of Scranton, PA for 16 years, and has been accompanist and soloist for several of those years. She has been the director of the Four Seasons Chorale, Port Jervis, NY since its re-organization in 2013. She is a member of NAfME (National Association of Music Educators), PMEA (Pennsylvania Music Educators), ACDA (American Choral Directors Association) and AGO (American Guild of Organists).
