
Julie Cassese Valentin
Julie joined Homestead School in 2022. Julie was born and raised in New York City and spent weekends and summers upstate NY, in the Catskills, with friends and family throughout her life. She finished high school in Honesdale, PA, and graduated from Hartwick College where she studied Studio Art and Sociology. Julie has spent time with children ages 2-10 for over 15 years. Working in NYC public schools at an after-school program, and at an upstate community summer program. Julie attended the Montessori Early Childhood Teachers Education Program at West Side Montessori School (WSMS) from 2014-2015 and is an AMS certified and MACTE accredited Early Childhood Montessori Educator. Julie continued working at WSMS for 8 years as an Assistant teacher until 2022 when she decided to move back upstate to live in her house and continue her Montessori teaching career at The Homestead. Julie enjoys her time gardening, spending time on the Delaware River, hiking, and exploring the outdoors with her camera.
