Ara Rausch

Ara has been a part of the Homestead Teaching Community since 2016. Ara started working at Homestead as a substitute teacher when her youngest daughter began attending the school. Ara then took a permanent position at Homestead before completing her Montessori Certification in Lower Elementary Education from the North American Montessori Center. Since that time, she taught Lower Elementary classes until she branched out to the Early Childhood building. Ara is a graduate of the Albuquerque Technical and Vocational School. She worked for years with the Navy in basic and advanced electronics, as well as cryptology. More recently, Ara coached Level IV Girls at Gold Cup Gymnastics and has served on the board of two homeschooling cooperatives. The proud mother of a US Naval Academy female graduate, Ara enjoys reading, playing board games and spending time with her children.
